"We had the most wonderful time camping at Kate and Richard’s paddock - they had sent us over clear instructions on how to get there and on arrival had given us a tour and were kind enough to help us shelter from the rain on our first night. The paddock was in beautiful surroundings and the local area had lots to explore that we barely scratched the surface of - next time! Thanks again 😊"
"Thank you for our lovely few days. The yurt was magical and the surroundings so beautiful and peaceful. Our boys loved the chickens too. We hope to be able to return one day. Fingers crossed!"
"Richard and Kate were so welcoming and helpful, we felt right at home in the paddock. There were 6 of us staying in 3 tents and our lurcher puppy, the paddock was perfect, spacious, peaceful, private and dog proof. We love the South Hams and found lots of lovely dog-friendly places to eat, and doggy beaches. The perfect break, thank you!"
"We loved our stay here, the paddock was perfect for our dog to run freely in, the farm was beautiful and close to really fantastic beaches, the shower was warm and clean and the toilets sparkling! Thank you so much, we will be back soon."
"Had an amazing stay at Heathfield escapes! Kate and Richard were always friendly and extremely helpful with anything we needed. Pitch two was in a lovely secluded area with fire pit and bench. We have already recommended to friends and family, this is the perfect campsite for a peaceful break surrounded by nature! We will definitely be back! Many thanks to Richard and Kate for a holiday to remember."
"We were lucky enough to be able to book this beautiful place last minute for the Easter bank holiday weekend. We stayed in the paddock which is a very large area and completely secure. The sun loungers and firepit are a lovely touch. Richard and Kate are very welcoming and we look forward to returning and trying out one of the wild camping pitches in the valley."
"Loved our stay, beautiful location and yurt. Kate and Richard were very welcoming and made us feel at home!"
"Camping in the valley was beyond my expectation. I’d walk down to my pitch either through the fields, or the bluebell wood. All I could hear were the sheep, birds and my crackling fire - it was a real retreat. Despite camping in a storm, the valley and the levelled pitch created a natural windbreak. It felt like wild camping, whilst having the reassurance there were good people up the valley. Kate and Richard couldn’t have been more hospitable, going above and beyond in welcoming me to their haven."
